Randy Hill
Defensive Coordinator
Coach Hill was born in War Shoals, South Carolina and graduated from Trion, Georgia. He served two years in the U.S. Army with one year in Vietnam. He earned a Silver Star for bravery serving as a combat medic. Coach Hill received a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from Georgia Southern College. He coached seven years at Appling County High School and thirteen years at Worth County High School before coming to Lowndes 1992.
Coach Hill and his wife, Margie, have two children, Kristi, a graduate of Valdosta State University who is a teacher at Cairo High School and Brian a graduate of Georgia Southern who is also a football coach at Cairo High School. Margie is a retired teacher from Lowndes County Schools. They have four granddaughters.

Steve Lankford
Guards and Centers
Special Teams Coordinator
Coach Lankford graduated from Midfield High School, Alabama, in 1976. He holds a B.S. in Education from Samford University. Steve recently obtained his Master of Education degree from Troy State University. He has taught Social Sciences, Physical Education, and Drivers Education. He currently teaches Drivers Ed at LHS and is also the Boys Track and Field coach. Steve has coached at Pickens Academy in Carrollton, Alabama, Freeport High School in Freeport, Florida, and coached at Madison County High School in Madison, Florida for 17 years. He has 24 years experience coaching football and 11 years experience coaching track. Steve and his wife Lee have two daughters, Brooke- 21 and Kelsey- 18. They have a 6 month old grandson, Leland. |

John Arnold
Defensive Backs Coach
Coach Arnold graduated from Madison County High in 1987. He received an A.A. Degree in 1989 from North Florida Community College and a Business Ed/Math Degree from Valdosta State University in 1992. Coach Arnold completed his Masters of Education Degree from Troy University in 2005. He taught math at Washington County High in Sandersville, GA from 1992-2000. He then taught at Tift County High in 2000-2002. In 2002 he taught at Irwin County High School. His wife Gina is a teacher at Dewar Elementary. They have two children Kirbi & Kerri Ann. |

James Brown
O-Line Tackles and Tight Ends
James is a 1982 graduate of North Wilkes High School in Hays, North Carolina. He holds a B.A. in Physical Education from Emory and Henry College in Virginia, and a M.S. in Sports Administration from Mississippi State. After high school, he attended Lees McRae Junior College in North Carolina and played defensive tackle from 1984-1986. James’ coaching career started at Lees McRae Junior College where he worked with the defensive line, wide receivers, quarterbacks and running backs. He then went to graduate school at Virginia Tech coaching the offensive line for three years. This was followed by a stint as Defensive Coordinator at Goose Creek High in South Carolina.
Upon returning to graduate school at Mississippi State, James worked with the offensive line. After serving as Linebacker Coach for Alabama State, he coached at Daleville High. While at Daleville, he was the Defensive Coordinator and assisted with the offensive and defensive lines. He has coached in four Junior College Bowl games – the East Bowl in 1987, 1988, and 1990 and the Mid-America Bowl in 1989. In 1993, James coached in the Independence Bowl while at Virginia Tech. James is married to his wife Tammy. |

Bill Cribb
Defensive Ends Coach
Bill graduated from Lowndes high School in 1981. He played safety and linebacker on the 1980 AAAA State Championship Team. That same year, he was voted Captain by his teammates. He graduated from Valdosta State in 1985 with a B.S. in Physical Education. Bill received his Masters of Education degree from Troy University in 2005. He has coached defensive backs ,linebackers, and defensive ends for the past 22 years at Lowndes High Sshool. Coach Cribb has two children, daughters Ceighley, 15 and Lawson, 6. |

Hiram Johnson
Defensive Tackles and Nose Guards Coach
Coach Johnson is the Defensive Tackles Coach. He has been a coach at Lowndes High School for the past 33 years. Coach Johnson retired from teaching duties June, 2003. Hiram is a 1968 graduate of George Washington Carver High School in Douglas, Georgia.
He earned a B.S. Degree in Biology from Fort Valley State College where he was an All-Conference Selection at Linebacker and a two year letterman in Track and Field. Coach Johnson has also earned a Master’s Degree in Biology from Valdosta State University. Under Coach Johnson’s leadership, the Girls Track team won the 1-AAAA South Sub-region in 1989 and 1990, and the Region 1-AAAA Championship from 1990-1994, 1996-1999, 2001-2009. The team also finished 2nd in the state in 2001 and 3rd in the state in 2002. He coached a Boy’s Club Football Team to a 32-0 record; three league and bowl championships.
Coach Johnson is married to the former Barbara A. Jay of Ocilla, Georgia. They have one son, DeWayne, who is employed with Verizon in the D.C. area |

Danny Redshaw
Recievers Coach
Danny holds a B.S. and a Masters in Education and received both from Valdosta State University. He coached in the Valdosta City School System from 1991-1997. He came to Lowndes High in 1997. This is Coach Redshaw’s 5th year as a varsity football coach. For the previous five years, he served as the Offensive Coordinator for the 9th grade team. He’s also been the Head Baseball Coach for the past nine years. During this time, his teams won a State Championship in 2000, State Runner-Up in 2001 and seven Region Championships (1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002, 2005, 2006). In 2000, he was named Georgia Coach of the year, NHSBCA District Coach of The Year, and was a finalist for National Coach of The Year. He was Head Coach of the 2002 Team Georgia Baseball Team that won the Sunbelt Classic. Danny and his wife, Lisa, have a daughter, Caroline - 12 and a son, Joshua – 9. |

William Davis
Quarterbacks & Fullbacks Coach
Coach Davis is entering his 24th year as a varsity football coach. He began his career at Valdosta Middle School in 1986. He served as the Varsity Offensive Line Coach at Worth County High School from 1990 to 1991. Coach Davis came to Lowndes High in 1992 as the Varsity Offensive Line Coach. He was promoted to Offensive Coordinator in 1996 and served in this position until 2001. Coach Davis served as the offensive Coordinator at Ware County High from 2002-2006.
William is a 1986 graduate of Valdosta State University. He and his wife Cathy have four children, Jessica, Will, Julie and Kellsie
